Did you know that we are now less than 50 days away from autumn and so we decided to share some homemade popsicle recipes to help cool you down especially during all these heatwaves we have been experiencing!
We have absolutely loved playing around and experimenting with our red matcha powder and hibiscus flower this year, they are so much fun to combine with and make a perfect mix of tarty and refreshing icy treats with those gorgeous red hues.
Hibiscus contains Vitamin C, a potent antioxidant that supports a healthy immune function as it is a dietary antioxidant that helps to reduce free radicals and lipid oxidation in body tissues (we know it’s quite something right!). Has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-viral properties as well as being an excellent source of iron which plays a factor in red blood cell formation. If you are someone that suffers from anemia adding hibiscus tea to your routine might be a good idea. Tasty, Instagramable, and some health benefits this might be the greatest gift from the Culinary Gods, ever!
Why are Herbal Popsicles Trending?
One of the big reasons why we love any homemade herbal popsicle recipe is that you get to pick and choose what ingredients you would like in them and the amount of sugar they contain. It’s not only perfect for children so that you can give them a natural version of the extra sugary and coloured store-bought popsicles, but also for adults who like to indulge in delightful treats. Herbal popsicles are also one of the simplest ones to prepare. Just make up a batch of your favourite herbal teas or simple syrups, sweeten it a bit if required, pour it into your popsicle mold, freeze it and voila let the magic take over.
