Description
These are the whole grain oat groats that have been minimally processed, with only the inedible outer layer removed. They have been lightly toasted to preserve freshness and improve flavour.

Directions
Stir 1 cup oat groats into 2 cups boiling water. Simmer covered for 40 minutes, stirring frequently.

Uses
Oat groats can be cooked and served as cereal, or prepared in the same manner as rice and used as a side dish as salad or stuffing.

When stored in a cool (preferably less than 60˚F) and dry location (less than 70% humidity), shelf life is approximately 1 year.
