Description
Why is our Cocoa Butter so wonderful for your skin? For one, it’s easily absorbed, and the antioxidants within the butter repair bodily tissues and protect the skin, your body’s largest organ, against free radicals, which can wreak havoc on your cells. Quite literally, Cocoa Butter improves the condition of your skin from the inside out.
Cocoa Butter comes from the cacao bean, which is found inside the cocoa pod and grows on the cacao tree. Cocoa butter is created from pressing roasted, hulled, and milled cocoa nibs into natural liquor. This product is the solid form, it has a neutral taste that can be used in many recipes.
It can be a nourishing addition to both sweet and savoury recipes. Perfect if you are looking for adding creaminess to beverages and desserts. It can be a sub for Coconut Butter or Oil and as a substitute for butter in vegan or dairy-free recipes. We also love getting to have more items for plant-based cooking and baking!
Our Organic Cocoa Butter is made from fair-trade cocoa from Peru. We love the work that this fair trade program provides like monthly training programs for the farmers and financial support to the local communities. It also covers the costs of organic certification, logistical, and other miscellaneous expenses. We know that many small farmers cannot afford to be certified Organic so this makes us so happy to work with programs that offer such amazing support to the farming communities that make such a difference in the food industry! We want to help improve the lives of farmers and their communities, they are part of the future of food. Our team values taking care of the people who take care of our food which is so vital to our industry.
