WHAT IS COCONUT MILK POWDER?
Our Organic Coconut Milk Powder comes from the meat of organic coconuts containing 65% fat content. As a high fat product, natural clumping is expected especially under cold temperatures. In addition, it is also a perfect plant-based and dairy-free alternative if you are lactose intolerant!
WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS?
Other than healthy essential fatty acids and vitamins, coconut milk contains lauric acid – a medium-chain fatty acid that can be easily absorbed and used by the body for energy. Unlike longer-chain fatty acids, medium-chain triglycerides are less likely to be stored as fat.
HOW TO RECONSTITUTE IT?
It is very simple. You can make coconut milk or cream easily by adding hot water to the powder!
- Light milk: mix 3 tablespoons with 1 cup of hot water
- Milk: mix 1/3 cup with 1 cup of hot water
- Cream: mix 1/2 cup with 1 cup of hot water
HOW TO USE IT?
You can use coconut milk powder in any recipes that call for coconut milk. That being said, there is so much you can do with this product! Here are some ideas:
- Curry – coconut milk powder binds better to spices
- Soups and sauces
- Whipped cream
- Coffee-creamer
- Vegan ice cream
- Tropical smoothies
- Coconut bath soak
