Description
This corn starch is produced by mashing, washing and drying of organically grown corn from Austria. It is a white to yellowish floury powder that can be used in a variety of food applications as a low cost thickener. Like all certified organic corn products, it is not a product of genetic engineering.

Directions
Prepare a paste with corn starch and cold water before adding to sauces. To mimic the binding ability of gluten, substitute 1 cup of wheat flour for 3/4 cup of rice flour and 1/4 cup of corn starch.

Storage
When stored in a cool (less than 70˚F), dry (below 60% RH) area, in sealed containers, the expected shelf life is 12 months without appreciable loss of flavour or functional characteristics.
